Trinity United Church
April 17, 2020
Well, this week - and it seems like it will do so for at least another month. We’ve been getting, on average, 5000 views a week, so we know we are meeting a need. This week the Rev. Louise Hart from First-Wesley United Church will be leading the service with special music provided by Diana Hannaford-Wilcox of St. Paul’s.
I hope you are all doing well in your self-isolation. Some people are finding it very difficult, so I encourage you to reach out if you’re going a bit stir crazy. You can call the office and leave a message and someone will get back to you. Or you can join us online at our weekly Zoom check-in which a number of you have found helpful. It’s on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Just go to www.zoom.us and click on the Join a Meeting button. It will download a small app, and then ask you for a Meeting ID. The ID you need is: 617 827 2014. Follow the instructions and you should see the others. Again, if you have trouble, give us a call.
Hope to see you at one of our Wednesday meetings - and on Sunday morning.
As I said on Easter Sunday, our role is to be the bridge between the darkness of the present moment and the hope we believe in, and that means holding fast to the measures that will bring us through this pandemic and never losing hope in what’s to come. We’re seeing a glimmer of an improvement, but we need to be wary of a second wave and not let our guard down. We need to keep doing what we’re doing, and remember the strength we receive from our faith. This is what will get us to where we need to be.
God bless - and stay safe!
